Jaipur. On Wednesday morning, a speeding dumper truck hit a bike carrying four people near Jhiri Stand on the Pratapgarh–Dausa Road in the Thanagazi police station area of Alwar district. In this tragic accident, four members of the same family died on the spot. According to reports, the uncle was taking his nephew to drop him at a hostel. As soon as the police were informed, they rushed to the spot.

Following the accident, a crowd gathered at the site. Angry villagers blocked the Alwar–Jaipur Road, leading to a long traffic jam and creating a tense situation. Villagers also clashed with passersby. They alleged that illegal and overloaded dumpers run unchecked in the area and that despite repeated complaints, the administration had taken no action. After the accident, Regional Transport Officer Satish Kumar also reached the spot to assess the situation.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Dr. Priyanka Raghuvanshi said the deceased were identified as Babulal (40), son of Badri Lal; Monu (5), son of Jagannath; Ashok (22), son of Shravan; and Narsi (25), son of Naina Ram, all residents of Mejod village, Thanagazi. All the victims belonged to the same family. Monu’s elder brother lives in the hostel of a school in Dantala, Jamwa Ramgarh. The family was on their way to introduce Monu to his elder brother when the accident occurred.

The dumper was coming at high speed from Pratapgarh toward Jhiri, while the bike was headed from Jhiri toward Pratapgarh. The head-on collision was so severe that three people died instantly, while the fourth succumbed to injuries on the way to the hospital.

The accident plunged the entire family into mourning. The bike was left completely mangled. After receiving the information, police arrived at the scene and sent the bodies to the mortuary. Babulal was Monu’s uncle. Meanwhile, the dumper driver fled the spot, and police are searching for him.

A large number of villagers gathered after the incident. Outraged locals blocked the Alwar–Jaipur Road at Thanagazi in Pratapgarh (Alwar). They put forward two demands during the roadblock. In the heat of the moment, villagers even assaulted a car driver. As the situation escalated, Deputy Superintendent of Police Mahavir Singh, Pratapgarh Tehsildar Dataram Gurjar, and Thanagazi Tehsildar Mohit Pancholi reached the spot with police force to get the road cleared.

However, the villagers remained adamant about their demands. Later, local MLA Kranti Prasad Meena also arrived. After persuasion from the MLA and administrative officers, the villagers lifted the blockade. The villagers demanded a government job for the victims’ family members and strict action against overloaded dumpers, to which the authorities agreed.
