Jaipur. District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni has assigned responsibilities to the officers to ensure the preparations of the district level Independence Day celebrations before time and with high quality, so that the Independence Day celebrations can be grand, dignified and inspiring. On August 15, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa will hoist the flag as the chief guest at the district level Independence Day celebrations and take the salute of the parade. On this occasion, officers-employees and citizens doing excellent work will also be honored.
In a review meeting held in the Collectorate auditorium on Monday, he directed all the departmental officers that all the arrangements related to the event should be completed within the stipulated time limit. District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni said that all the arrangements including stage arrangements, sound broadcasting system, traffic and parking, security arrangements, invitation card distribution, cultural programs, seating arrangements for children, drinking water and medical facilities should be ensured in a coordinated manner in the main function to be held at Chaugan Stadium.
The District Collector directed the officers to ensure lighting, rangoli, decoration and cleanliness on the occasion of the national festival, as well as to rehearse all the programs to be organized in the function. He instructed to invite dignitaries from all sections of the society including public representatives, ex-servicemen, widows, excellent players, folk artists, journalists, representatives of social-religious field with respect in the function organized on the occasion of this important festival.
He especially instructed that the cultural programs should present a glimpse of patriotism, social unity and cultural heritage of Rajasthan, so that the feeling of patriotism becomes stronger among the common people. The District Collector instructed the officers to do extensive publicity to ensure maximum participation of the common people in the function and to organize public awareness activities to hoist the tricolor on as many houses, establishments and institutions as possible under the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign.
He said that Jaipur is not only the capital of Rajasthan, but is also known in the country and abroad with its historical heritage, cultural heritage and the pride of being a “World Heritage City”. In such a situation, the celebration of Independence Day here should be grand and inspiring in accordance with this glorious tradition.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Karan Sharma, Additional District Collector (Jaipur, East) Shri Gopal Singh Shekhawat, Additional District Collector (Second) Ashish Kumar, Additional District Collector (Fourth) Devendra Kumar Jain, Additional District Collector (North) Mukesh Kumar Mund, Jaipur Development Authority, Municipal Corporation, Public Health Engineering Department, Education Department, Medical and Health Department, Transport Department, Electricity Department, Logistics Department, Social Justice and Empowerment Department and officials of other departments were present in the meeting.
