Mumbai (Anil Bedag): Dedicated to India’s rich heritage of music, devotion, and culture, the Jalota Welfare Foundation is once again bringing a grand celebration to honor distinguished artists. The 14th Gaurav Awards – 2026 will be held on February 20, 2026, at the ISKCON Temple, Juhu (Mumbai), where eminent personalities of national and international repute will be felicitated for their outstanding contributions.
This prestigious ceremony is held in sacred memory of the revered Bhajan Samrat Padma Shri Pt. Purushottamdas Jalota. Carrying forward his spiritual and musical legacy, Padma Shri Anup Jalota officially announced the names of this year’s awardees. Anup Jalota himself was conferred the Padma Shri in 2012 by the Government of India for his outstanding contribution to Indian classical music (vocal).
The Bhajan Samrat Padma Shri Pt. Purushottamdas Jalota Sangeet Seva Award will be presented to world-renowned classical musician, Padma Bhushan and Grammy Award winner Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt.
The Bhajan Maharshi Pt. Hari Om Sharan Bhakti Sangeet Award will honor eminent classical vocalist Padma Shri Dr. Soma Ghosh.
The Padma Shri Dr. Ravindra Jain Multi-Talent Award will be conferred upon celebrated folk and classical singer Padma Shri Malini Awasthi, fondly regarded as the queen of Indian folk music. She is equally proficient in Dadra, Thumri, Kajri, Chaiti, and various other Hindustani music traditions.
The Medha Jalota Outstanding Emerging Classical Dance Award will be presented to promising dancer Mr. Gautam Marathe, a disciple of Guru Shri Vaibhav Arekar and the designer of “Aangika,” a specialized fitness module created for Indian classical performers.
The grand ceremony will be organized and managed by Tathastu Productions.
