Jaipur: Barmer team of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) took action on Thursday and arrested Assistant Engineer Surendra Kumar Bansal of Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited Barmer City-II RICO red handed while taking bribe of Rs. 5000 from the complainant.
Anti-Corruption Bureau Director General of Police Dr. Ravi Prakash Meharda said that the complainant complained to the Barmer team of ACB that Assistant Engineer Surendra Kumar Bansal of Discom is demanding a bribe of Rs. 15000 in lieu of converting the single-phase connection of his commercial building into a three-phase connection.
On which, under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police Kishan Singh Charan of Barmer team of ACB, after verifying the complaint and taking action of trap, Discom Assistant Engineer Surendra Kumar Bansal has been arrested while taking bribe of Rs. 5000. It is noteworthy that during the verification of the complaint, Discom Assistant Engineer Surendra Kumar Bansal had also collected Rs. 10000 as bribe from the complainant.
