Internet Desk. If spinach is added to gram dal, it becomes spinach gram dal. Gram dal spinach is delicious to eat and along with that, this vegetable is also nutritious. If you don’t feel like eating plain spinach, then you can make gram dal spinach sabzi. Let us tell you the method of making it
Ingredients-
Spinach- one bunch
Gram dal- 150 grams
Tomatoes- 2
Green chilli- 2
Ginger- 1 inch
Ghee- 2 spoons
Asafoetida- 1 pinch
Cumin- 1/2 spoon
Turmeric- 1/4
Coriander powder-1/4 spoon
Garam masala- 1/4 spoon
Lemon- 1 teaspoon
Green coriander- 1/2 teaspoon
Method-
Soak the gram dal in water for 4 hours. Wash the spinach and chop it finely. Grind tomatoes, green chilli and ginger in a mixer.
Now put the spinach and salt in the cooker and cook. Add water to the dal as per your requirement. On the other hand, heat ghee in a vessel for tempering. Add asafoetida, cumin, turmeric, coriander powder and fry. Then add tomato, ginger paste and fry.
When the oil starts floating, add dal palak while stirring. Now cook the vegetable for 6-7 minutes and then turn off the gas. If there seems to be less water in the dal palak vegetable, then heat water and mix it. Finally add chopped coriander to the dal and turn off the gas. Serve it with hot roti.
