Jaipur. The month of Shravan, special for the devotion of Bhole, has started on Monday. There will be a total of five Mondays throughout the month. On Monday, Jalabhishek, Rudrabhishekam and Sahastraghat rituals were held in the city’s major temples including Tadakeshwar Mahadev, Jharkhand Mahadev, Jangleshwar, Chamatkareshwar, Sadashiv Jyotirlinga, Rojgargeshwar, Double Shankar Mahadev, Ambikeshwar Mahadev Temple, Dhuleshwar Mahadev Temple and others. The echo of Bam-Bam Bhole was heard in the temples from early morning. Devotees lined up at Shiva temples from 4 am to perform Jalabhishek of Bhole Baba.
The administration has also made tight security arrangements at the temples. CCTV cameras were installed in places and continuous monitoring was done. Sevadars have also been appointed by the temple committee. Besides, flowers were decorated at major Shiva temples in Jaipur and water spraying and shading was provided on the road in view of the heat. Also, hundreds of pilgrims carrying holy water of Galta Teerth resumed their movement. The Kanwars were seen from 4 am on Monday. Jaipur, Chaksu, Shivdaspura, Bagru, Bassi, Shahpura, Govindgarh, including the surrounding areas of the Kawadi Shiva Abhishek as Kawad Yatra.
Priests of Tadakeshwar Mahadev temple Prashant Vyas and Vikrant Vyas said that Mangala Aarti was performed in the morning. The gates of the sanctuary were then opened for ablution. The entire temple complex is decorated with special flowers imported from Kolkata. Every Monday morning, 51 kg of ghee will be offered with the help of devotees. Daily special flower arrangement, special scenery will be decorated. Visitation will begin at 4 am. Jharkhand Mahadev Temple will be a fair atmosphere. Babbu Seth Memorial Trust president Jaiprakash Somani said the temple will have special lighting and separate lines for men and women. The first Monday of Sawan was also celebrated at the hundreds-year-old Jharkhand Mahadev Temple in Vaishali Nagar. Jalabhishek started at 4.30 am and continued till 4 pm.
Galta shrine will be bustling for a month of pilgrims
Galta shrine will also be bustling with pilgrims for a whole month. More than 1,000 Kanwar Yatras from Jaipur district will reach Galta Ji. Kanwadiyas will anoint Bholenath with the water of Kanwad. Besides, Kanwar processions from other places including Pushkar will also reach Jaipur. Yuvacharya Swami Raghavendra of Galta Teerth said that all arrangements have been made to ensure that the devotees do not have any trouble. Prasad has also been arranged in the food area.
