Jaipur. For the first time, the Open FIDE Rated Rapid Chess Tournament 2025 is going to be organized in the Pink City Jaipur on Saturday at Hotel Amar Palace on Ajmer Road. More than 400 players are participating in this tournament organized under the aegis of Just Health and Wellness (JHW), Rajasthan Chess Association and All India Chess Federation.

Which includes more than 15 titled players like Grand Master, International Master and FIDE Master. Apart from this, more than 200 international rated players will also participate in this tournament, making this competition one of the most exciting and high-level competitions in the region. Himmat Singh, CEO of Health and Wellness, the organizer of the championship, gave.

Organizing Secretary, Jayendra Chaturvedi said that, it will be interesting to see Grand Master Mitrabha Guha, R Laxman, International Master Aryan Varshney, Aditya Dhingra, Aradhya Garg, FIDE Master Suyog Wagh, Namitbir, Singh Walia, Garv Gaur, SK Rathore in this championship. Among the prominent players from Rajasthan, Kanti Lal Dave, PR Harsh, Milind Gawade, Narayan Joshi, Sunny Bedi, Vikram Makhija, Ashi Upadhyay, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Bhavya Gupta will be in focus.

The tournament will be played under the 9-round Swiss system, and more than 100 prizes will be awarded in various categories with a total prize money of seven and a half lakhs. The event will encourage chess as well as promote mental discipline, strategic thinking and skill development. The event will begin with the opening ceremony and players’ meeting on January 25 at 9 am, and the closing and prize distribution ceremony will be held on January 26, 2025 at 4 pm.
