Jaipur. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that the state government is working to bring prosperity in every area of the state through its public welfare schemes, policies and development works and in the short span of last eight months, many important decisions have been taken for the development of the state. He called upon every citizen to participate in the development journey of the state and said that we all should work together to take Rajasthan to new heights of progress.
The Chief Minister hoisted the flag and inspected the parade at the state level function organized at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on the occasion of 78th Independence Day on Thursday. On this occasion, he saluted the martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice for the country and remembered the freedom fighters who dedicated everything for independence. On this occasion, while addressing the people of the state, he said that the state government is working with commitment to ensure the right to education, health, employment and security for all.

The government is developing a strong network of roads in the state
Sharma, while highlighting the notable achievements and works of the government, said that the government is going to develop a strong network of roads in the state. For this, a road system of 53 thousand kilometers length will be developed by spending Rs 60 thousand crore in the next five years. From the construction of Atal Pragati Path in rural areas to building a Greenfield Expressway to connect cities, works like building a two-lane road to connect subdivision, panchayat samiti and tehsil headquarters to the district headquarters will be done.
Rajasthan will become self-reliant in the field of energy
The Chief Minister said that to provide tap water to every house, work will be done on 6 major drinking water projects at a cost of about Rs 20 thousand 370 crore in Jal Jeevan Mission. This year, a target has been set to provide tap water to 25 lakh rural households by spending Rs 15 thousand crore. Also, in Amrit 2.0 Mission, works worth about Rs 5 thousand 180 crore will be done in 2 years to improve the drinking water system in 183 urban areas. He said that Rajasthan has immense possibilities in the field of solar energy. In this sequence, ‘Adarsh Solar Village’ will be established in every district under the ‘PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme’. MoUs worth Rs 2 lakh 24 thousand crore have been signed with various PSUs to make the state self-reliant in the energy sector. Cabinet approval has also been given to bring four of these projects on the ground.

Rajasthan will become a hub of investment
Sharma said that the government is focusing on visionary policies and schemes to strengthen the economy of the state. A grand event of ‘Rising Rajasthan’ will be organized from 9 to 11 December to make Rajasthan a hub of investment. He said that the government is also making many innovations to develop the tourism sector. Along with the formation of new tourism policy, Rajasthan Tourism Development Board, works worth more than 5 thousand crores will be done through Rajasthan Tourism Infrastructure and Capacity Building Fund. He said that the government is constantly making efforts to ensure that the work of the people of the state is done on time and they do not have to run around offices. In this direction, a single window-same day delivery system is being started under which 25 services of various departments will be provided in 24 hours.
Land acquisition process started for ERCP
The Chief Minister said that the ERCP project will prove to be a lifeline for irrigation and drinking water in eastern Rajasthan. The government has started the process of land acquisition by working rapidly in this direction and the work orders of the first phase have also been issued. He said that the government has purchased 12.01 lakh metric tonnes of wheat, 3.52 lakh metric tonnes of mustard, 9.92 lakh metric tonnes of moong and groundnut at the support price. Also, insurance claims of Rs 1,466 crore have been distributed under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana to compensate for the loss of crops of the farmers. Interest-free crop loan of Rs 17,686 crore has been made available to the farmers through Central Cooperative Banks. Also, 1 lakh new farmers have been provided interest-free crop loans through Central Cooperative Banks.

The person standing at the last rung in the society is the first person
Sharma said that the government is providing enough opportunities to women power to move forward. He said that to make women economically self-reliant, the target has been set to benefit 15 lakh women instead of 5 lakh this year in the ‘Lakhpati Didi Yojana’. The Chief Minister said that the government is working for the welfare of the person standing at the last rung in the society by considering him as the first person.
For the empowerment of the deprived sections, many important steps have been taken including increasing the amount of monthly pension in the Social Security Pension Scheme, increasing the amount of SC ST Fund and TSP Fund to Rs 1500 crore, launching Baba Saheb Ambedkar Adarsh Gram Vikas Yojana, Govind Guru Tribal Area Development Scheme. He said that taking inspiration from the PM Swanidhi scheme started by the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister Swanidhi scheme is being started for street vendors as well as other needy and helpless families in urban areas and towns.
