Mumbai: Many films including Raj Babbar’s film ‘Nikaah’ have been released in Bollywood on the issue of triple talaq, but these days the film Rivaaj released on Zee5 is being discussed, which is based on this issue. This film depicting a woman’s fight against triple talaq is hard hitting. Producer Kashish Khan has made his place in the industry by making one good film after another.
The film Rivaaj tells the story of a strong-willed woman, Zainab Sheikh, who raises her voice against the old law of triple talaq. The character of Zainab Sheikh has been played by Mayra Sareen, rather she has lived it. The honesty with which Mayra has performed is worth watching. Along with many experienced actors, she has displayed her skilled acting ability and has presented the main character of the film on screen in an effective manner. Whether it is her dialogue delivery, or facial expressions, expressing emotions or speaking a heart-rending dialogue, Mayra has been seen as an expert.
“Whenever he feels like it, he will divorce her, whenever he feels like it, he will apologize and talk about marriage.” This dialogue of Zainab expresses the pain of a woman. Then she further says, “I swear, I will break the pride of people like you.”
“Whether a woman or a man gives divorce, the loss is only of the family.” Many messages have also been given in the film through such dialogues.
“This fight is not mine alone.” When Zainab says this dialogue in the film, it seems that she is representing the whole society and fighting against injustice.
Mithun Chakraborty’s role as a lawyer is important. Zakir Khan’s dialogue in the role of a lawyer, “The Muslims of the country will not be happy with the abolition of the triple talaq law.” gives rise to a debate, on which Mithun Chakraborty says that Allah does not like divorce.” Mithun Chakraborty is seen fighting for the rights of his client against triple talaq.
The character of Zainab Sheikh has been played naturally by Myra Sareen. With this project, Myra has established her strong identity. The story of Rivaaj and characters like Zainab created a wave of change in the society, inspired by which Modi ji implemented the triple talaq law, so that women get respect and rights. The direction of the film is very good.
The film also has melodious songs like “Tu Mera Naam Hai”. You can watch the film Rivaaj, made on this hard-hitting and sensitive issue, on Zee5.
