Jaipur: The ongoing Indian Army Motorcycle Expedition commemorating 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas was flagged off from Konark War Memorial, Jodhpur Military Station on 19 June 2024 by Lieutenant General Mohit Malhotra, General Officer Commanding, Konark Corps.
The team consisting of eight riders will be covering a distance of 2750 Km from Dwarka to Drass. It would pass through the cities of Udaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Jaipur and Alwar in Rajasthan. More than 300 veterans graced the flagging off ceremony at the War Memorial. Four Veer Naris and a Kargil War awardee were felicitated on the occasion.
These dedicated riders are traversing diverse terrains and challenging routes, symbolizing the valiant prowess and resilience of our Armed Forces. The teams will converge concurrently at Delhi, thereafter, the combined team will proceed to Gun Hill in Drass, a place etched in history for its strategic importance during the Kargil War. The expedition will culminate at the Kargil War Memorial on 16 July 2024, Kargil Vijay Diwas.
