Jaipur. Jaipur Art Week will be organized by Public Art Trust of India (PATI) from 27th January to 3rd February. In the fourth edition of Art Week, exhibitions, site installations, performances and workshops will be organized in the major places and museums of the city like Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, Albert Hall Museum, Golchha Cinema, Jawahar Kala Kendra, Pink City Studio, Museum of Meenakari Heritage, Amrapali Museum and PATI Headquarters. Based on the theme Avto Baro Baje, this event will present the remarkable work of more than 30 well-known and renowned artists from around the world.
In which the works of about 10 international artists and more than 20 contemporary artists will be displayed. Some of these artists are directly associated with Rajasthan and some have achieved commendable achievements in different corners of the country today. The program has received significant support from the Department of Archaeology and Museums of Rajasthan, Jaipur Municipal Corporation, Jawahar Kala Kendra, British Council India, Institut Française, Gallery Espace, Aakar Prakar, Jaipur Heritage Foundation, etc.

In this eight-day art festival, international artists like Adrian Fernandes from Australia, Arzoo Zargar from Iran, Arez Navi Pana from Israel – Tel Aviv, Lorenzo Vitteri from Italy, Moric Romaco from Canada, Natasha Singh from Iran – Jiroft, Kumkum Fernando from Sri Lanka – Colombo, Gaspard Combes from France, Elinor Euler from Berlin, Manisha Gera Baswani, Neha Luthra, Vinayak Mehta, Pallavi Gandhi from Delhi, Anshu Kumari from Jamshedpur, Mansi Shah from Kolkata, Shilpa Bavne from Mumbai, Aninda Singh, Harshit Agarwal from Bangalore, Rajni Arya from Mathura, Pratap Manna and Prithviesh from Kolkata, Nishchay Thakur from Madhya Pradesh as well as Nandan Gheeya, Nishant Gheeya, Vagran Chaudhary, Valay Gaja, Narendra Kumar Sain, Rohini Singh, Shubham Sharma, Deepa Kumawat, Riyazuddin etc. from Rajasthan will showcase their curated special collections. More than 250 entries were received through open applications, out of which these artists were selected by the international jury Darius Sanai, Judith Greer, Rana Begum and Jai Danani. All these selected artists were guided by Nandan Ghia and Manisha Gera Baswani.

New artists will get a new path:
PATI’s founder president Sana Rizwan said that Jaipur Art Week has been established to provide a platform to the new generation of contemporary artists and to connect Jaipur’s art lovers with contemporary art. In which there will be an artistic festival in the entire Jaipur city for eight days. Art installations, group shows on the beautiful heritage of Jaipur as well as Ranga-Rang programs will be organized in the evening. Apart from this, new artists will get new paths through discussions of famous art experts from all over the world.

PATI director Emma Sumner said that there will be new programs every day. To make the opening day spectacular, a beautiful musical night will be organized at Rambagh Palace. Also, a group of architecture artists under the Social Design Collective will unveil a huge installation at the Albert Hall Museum. This unique project will transform the museum’s façade into an interactive public space. The space has been designed so that visitors can climb, sit and interact with sculptures inspired by the traditional doors and door frames of Rajasthan. The installation will inspire the audience to think and introspect through art and architecture.
