HYDERABAD: Telugu Film Star Nandamuri Balakrishna, who is the brand ambassador of PKL on Star Sports Network, graced the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium with his presence ahead of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 Hyderabad leg on Friday.
When asked about his thoughts on the Pro Kabaddi League during a press conference, Balakrishna said, “I am very happy to be here to encourage the game. The fact that there are teams from 12 cities in the Pro Kabaddi League shows the popularity of the competition. It is the second-most popular game in India after cricket. And there are players from various countries, who are showing their interest towards the game.”
Speaking about the Telugu Titans Captain Pawan Sehrawat, Balakrishna, affectionately known as Ballaya, said, “Pawan is a very dynamic sportsperson. He’s a player of high calibre. It’s great that the Pro Kabaddi League has raised interest in kabaddi for the last 10 seasons. We have to encourage the game among the youngsters and the league has done that. I support the Telugu Titans and the sport. I will always support the sport because I’ve been a sportsperson myself.”
The Telugu Titans will be up against Bengaluru Bulls, U.P. Yoddhas, Haryana Steelers and Tamil Thalaivas during the Hyderabad leg.
Season 10 of the Pro Kabaddi League will be broadcast live on the Star Sports Network and for free on Disney+ hotstar.
