Ingredients:-
Gram dal – half a kilo
Milk – 3 cups
Sugar – 250 grams
Ghee – 150 grams
For decoration cashews, almonds, pistachios – half a cup finely chopped
Cardamom powder – half a teaspoon
Method :-
To make chana dal barfi, first of all soak the gram dal in water for about 3 hours, after that remove its excess water and put it in the mixer and grind it finely.
Now put the milk to boil in a pan. When the milk boils, add sugar to it. Let it boil well. Now add ground gram dal to it and cook till the paste thickens.
Taste it and if the dal is still raw then you can add some more milk to it. When the paste thickens, add ghee to it and let it cook on low flame till it is ready to set.
When the paste thickens, turn off the gas and add cardamom powder to it. Apply ghee on a plate and spread it well.
After this, sprinkle chopped nuts on it. When it cools down, cut it in the shape of barfi. Your gram dal barfi is ready.
