Equipped with an advanced 48‑volt system, the new Neo Drive variants offer better fuel efficiency, enhanced driving performance and enhanced comfort – offering a more refined experience in urban conditions and off-road situations.

New 48V Technology – Aimed at delivering improved fuel economy and lower emissions, the Neo Drive variants are equipped with Toyota’s powerful 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, now paired with a 48-volt system featuring a belt-integrated starter generator and lithium-ion battery. This hybrid assist provides smoother acceleration, quieter operation and improved efficiency at low speeds.
As a feature of the hybrid electric system, the battery is charged while decelerating, efficiently recovering braking energy that would otherwise be lost, as well as adding additional braking performance. The new Smart Idle Start-Stop function further improves fuel efficiency and reduces emissions by switching off the engine when stationary.
In addition, the enhanced efficiency and driving performance do not compromise on payload capacity, excellent durability and its powerful off-road performance, thus guaranteeing it to be a formidable mobility provider for a variety of needs. Additionally, the Multi-Terrain Select system intelligently adjusts throttle response, braking and traction control to optimise performance across a variety of terrains.
