Jaipur. As part of the Sri Krishna Janmashtami festival being celebrated in the presence of Mahant Anjan Kumar Goswami at the Aarad Dev Govind Devji temple, many women of Radha Govind Sakhi family wooed Thakurji by singing bhajans on Wednesday morning.
President of Radha Govind Sakhi family Madhu Sharma, Megha Khandelwal, Radha Rani, Shashi Tinker and other women sang bhajans like Saanwariyo Hai Seth Mhari Radhaji Sethani Hai…, O Tera Chanda Sa Mukhra Dikhaja Re…Banke Bihari Se Mere Nain Lad Gaye…, devotees danced with devotion.
In the afternoon, members of Harinam Sankirtan family performed bhajans and kirtans. In the evening, Avinash Sharma along with fellow artists performed bhajans. On this occasion, Kanha’s Bal Leelas were also staged.
Various colours of Shri Krishna Leela scattered:
Earlier, the talented students of Jaipur Kathak Kendra mesmerized the audience by presenting various colours of Shri Krishna Leela under the guidance of Kathak Guru Chetan Kumar Javda. The programme started with a Badhai song by the young child artists. After this, Bhajan presentation, Trivat and pure Kathak presentation were given. In the end, there was a solo Thumri by Simran Agarwal, which is the composition of her grandfather Kanhaiyalal Javda.
In the last phase of the programme, the devotees were mesmerized by the colourful performance of Mayur Nritya and Holi of flowers under the guidance of Kathak dancer Rekha Saini. Praveen Arya on Pakhavaj, Ramesh Mewal on singing and harmonium, Sawan Dangi and Aditya Rathore on tabla, Habib Khan and Hemant Dangi on keyboard, Pawan Dangi and Mahendra Sharma on dholak, Harihar Sharan Bhatt on sitar and Satish Sharma on octopad enhanced the beauty of the programme by accompanying. It was conducted by Sanjay Raizada.
Temple sevak adhikari Manas Goswami said that on Thursday morning Madan Mohan Gaudiya Math will organize a cultural programme by small children in the afternoon and in the evening bhajan-kirtan will be organised by Gauranga Mahaprabhu Sankirtan Mandal.
