Jaipur. A conference of police officers from across the state was held on Thursday at the Rajasthan Police Academy, as part of the annual national-level DG-IG Conference. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma attended as the chief guest. All senior police officers were present at the two-day state-level police conference-2026.
Minister of State for Home Affairs Jawahar Singh Bedham, Chief Secretary V. Srinivas, and Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department Bhaskar Sawant were also present at the event. During this time, the e-Visitor portal was launched to ensure the safety of tourists visiting Rajasthan.
This portal will provide information about tourists staying in hotels. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma praised the police department for its good work. However, he also cautioned those who were lax in their duties. Referring to the actions taken by ATS teams from other states in Rajasthan, he said that when agencies from other states come and take action in Rajasthan, it raises questions. He said it would be better if the district police took action in such cases. He also expressed displeasure over the laxity of the police in some districts regarding crimes against women and weaker sections of society.
On this occasion, CM Bhajanlal Sharma said that this program is being organized with the concept of the police system’s participation in a developed India. He said that today criminals are using new technologies. Several topics will be discussed in the two-day conference. The state has a long international border. It shares borders with five states, and criminals take advantage of this. Strong law and order and peace strengthen the economy, which accelerates development. Weak law and order directly impacts development.
E-Zero FIR System Launched
Along with this, the e-Zero FIR system has been launched in collaboration with E4C to register cyber-related complaints. Under this system, complaints of fraud involving more than Rs. 10 lakh, received through the 1039 helpline number and the NCRB portal, will be automatically registered. This will eliminate difficulties for people in filing complaints and will ensure faster justice. Law and Order Improved in Two Years
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that crime takes many forms. Sometimes, cases arise that are unprecedented. We need to see how we deal with them. Upon taking office, we stated that we are prepared to do whatever it takes to improve policing. In the last two years, there has been a significant improvement in the law and order situation in the state. There has been a 10 percent reduction in crimes against women, a 50 percent reduction in robberies, and a 15 percent reduction in murders. Similarly, there has been a decrease in every type of crime, but further improvement is needed. Our objective is to ensure peace in the state. To prevent crime, we must stop the drug trade and gangster activities. He said that we also need to develop our intelligence network. We must also completely curb cybercrime. We have to work towards this goal. We have to assure every citizen that they will not face any problems.
