Mumbai: Bollywood actress Esha Deol is all set to add a new and exciting chapter to her film career with her upcoming movie Ghoonghat. The film marks her first venture into the horror-comedy genre. Directed by Rajeev Ruia and produced by Devesh Kumar, Ghoonghat promises a unique cinematic experience by blending horror, comedy, romance, fantasy, and emotions.
Expressing her excitement about the project, Esha Deol said, “Ghoonghat is a completely new genre for me. I have worked in horror and comedy films separately before, but this combination of the two is truly special and exciting.” She believes the film is not just about entertainment but also carries a deep social and emotional message.
Set against the backdrop of the mysterious village of Jangipura, the story revolves around the tragic past of a spirit named Bhoori, whose unresolved pain traps the entire village under a terrifying curse.
Esha shared, “The biggest strength of this story is that it makes the audience laugh, scares them, and also leaves them with something to think about.” With Ghoonghat, Esha Deol is once again proving her willingness to embrace new characters and challenges with confidence and versatility.
