Jaipur/Kota. Governor Haribhau Bagde said that on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary, we should draw inspiration from him and internalize the messages he gave in our lives. He said that Swami Vivekananda’s teachings are still very relevant in our lives today. Swami Vivekananda inspired individuals to move forward with determination and fearlessness. He said that if one moves forward fearlessly and with dedication towards their goal, success is achieved in life.
Governor Bagde was addressing the Seva Sangam program organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad Kota Mahanagar at the Shiv Jyoti Convent School auditorium on Monday, on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s 163rd birth anniversary. He said that Swami Vivekananda told the youth that any goal in life can be achieved with self-confidence. He gave the message of service to humanity and said that working for the welfare of the poor and weak is the best service to God. He had said that the real purpose of education is not just to acquire information, but to develop character along with courage, compassion, and concentration.
Bagde said that it is essential to have positive thoughts in life because thoughts shape the future. He said that Swami Vivekananda had said that our words should be so positive that they do not hurt anyone’s feelings. He also gave the message of universal brotherhood.
In his historic speech at the Parliament of the World’s Religions in Chicago in 1893, he presented the glory, culture, spirituality, and glorious traditions of India to the world. He said that he belonged to a religion that taught the world the lesson of universal tolerance. He gave the message of eliminating ill-will among all human beings.
The Governor said that India will become number one in the world on the strength of the intellectual and physical capabilities of its people. He appealed to everyone that establishing the country’s prestige in the world should be the goal of all of us, and until this goal is achieved, we all must continue to move forward.
On this occasion, Bagde honored 31 organizations from Kota for their remarkable work in the field of social service.
